Ingredients

  • 500 gr. from spinach fresh
  • 1 tooth of Garlic
  • 1 onion small (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 50 gr. from Serrano ham (optional)
  • 5/8 cup raisins
  • Black pepper
  • Salt

Preparation of sautéed spinach with raisins

  1. Before starting, put the raisins to soak with water in a bowl for an hour. After this time, drain the water and reserve.
  2. Clean the spinach well, cut the stems and wash with plenty of water. Drain with the help of a strainer or with a lettuce centrifuge if you have it available.
  3. Add a tablespoon of oil to a large skillet, heat, and add the spinach. Stir well and cook until reduced. Remove them from the heat and reserve in a source.
  4. Wash, peel and cut the onion and garlic clove as small as possible. Also cut the Serrano ham into small pieces. Reservation.
  5. Pour the rest of the olive oil in the same pan where you cooked the spinach and when it is very hot, add the onion and garlic. Let poach for a few minutes.
  6. Then add the ham and raisins, cook for 2 more minutes and finally integrate the spinach. Salt and pepper to taste, mix well again and cook for 10 minutes over low heat.
  7. Remove them from the heat, serve them on a platter and your sautéed spinach with raisins will be ready to eat alone on toast or to accompany the food of your choice. We hope you enjoy them. Take advantage!
