  • Brown sugar.
  • Olive oil.
  • Oregano or fine herbs.
  • Salt.

Recipe for caramelized red onion with balsamic vinegar:

  1. Cut the onion into strips or small pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the onions over low – medium heat until well cooked.
  3. Pour in a little salt and oregano, or fine herbs, and stir well for about two minutes.
  4. Then pour two tablespoons of brown sugar and stir until it starts to stick.
  5. Pour four tablespoons of balsamic vinegar and begin to stir everything well until it begins to take shape.
  6. Let it rest for a few minutes and it will be ready to serve.
