This time we bring you a very healthy and very tasty dish: Brussels sprouts sauteed with garlic and onion. It is a very simple dish to prepare and you can serve it as a garnish or as a first course in cold weather, as we know they are a winter vegetable.

- 1/5 kg of brussels sprouts
- 1 onion
- 2 teeth of Garlic
- 1 glass of White wine
- 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
- Chopped parsley
- Virgin olive oil
Preparation of Brussels sprouts sautéed with garlic and onion
- We wash the cabbages well and remove the first leaves that are usually chopped. Then we pour them into a pot with plenty of water when it is boiling. We add a handful of salt to the water.
- The cooking time for Brussels sprouts is usually around 20 minutes. The important thing is that they are tender but not pasty, so you should check it.
- When they are ready we drain them and reserve. Then we crush the two garlic cloves, a pinch of chopped parsley in a mortar and add the glass of wine.
- In a frying pan with a drizzle of oil, poach the onion over low heat and when it is ready add the tablespoon of sweet paprika. Next, we add the mixture that we have prepared in the mortar and a glass of water from the cooking of the cabbages.
- When the alcohol has evaporated, we finally add the cabbages and cook them for a few minutes so that they take on all the flavors. We remove and serve them hot.
- You can also add a few cubes of Iberian ham or bacon to give the dish more flavor. Take advantage!
