For those people who are dieting, or want to eat more fiber, this recipe from Galician buttermilk integral they are a perfect dessert.
- 300 gr. whole wheat flour.
- 150 gr. of brown sugar.
- 150 gr. of butter.
- 3 eggs.
- ½ sachet of yeast.
Wholegrain shortbread recipe.
- In a large bowl we add the flour together with the sugar and stir it well with a teaspoon or electric rods. Then we add the yeast and use our hands to mix everything well, achieving a dark mixture thanks to the brown sugar.
- To this mixture we will now add the butter and eggs. Again we will mix everything with our hands to gradually achieve that it takes the form of a thick and uniform dough. Do not stop kneading until you see everything well mixed. You can put a little flour on your hands so that the dough does not stick.
- We will already put the oven to heat to 190º C so that it is ready when we need it.
- We form a ball with the dough and put it on a wooden board, to which we will add flour so that it does not get so stuck. We use a rolling pin to knead the mixture, trying not to make it too thin or too thick.
- Now completely ready, we use the molds that we like the most to take pieces of the dough and we will put them on a tray in a line, leaving a prudent space between them so that they do not stick together.
- Once ready, we put it in the oven and it will take about 15 minutes to be ready. After 8 minutes or so we can turn them over so that they are done equally well on the top and bottom if we want. Keep an eye on them so they don’t burn.
