  • 2 chives
  • one onion
  • two tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup of water
  • Pepper
  • Salt

For the mass:

  • 2 cups of precooked cornmeal
  • 3 cups of lukewarm water
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 1 plastic food bag
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt

Preparation of Venezuelan tuna empanadas

  1. To begin, you must prepare the filling by chopping the chives and onion into pieces, as well as the tomato after washing it and removing the seeds.
  2. Pour the olive oil into a frying pan and when it is hot add the onion. Put the heat to medium intensity and stir so that it does not stick. When it turns transparent, add the chives and cook for a couple more minutes.

  6. Next, mark the edges of your patty with the help of a plate, peel it off the plastic and remove the excess. Repeat the procedure until you finish with all the dough
  7. Heat plenty of vegetable oil in a pan and fry your tuna patties. When they are golden brown and crisp on both sides, remove them to a plate lined with absorbent paper and they are ready to enjoy. Enjoy!
