Ingredients
- 1 turkey breast
- 250 gr. from Ground beef
- 10 slices of bacon
- 4 mushrooms
- 1/2 onion
- 3 teeth of Garlic
- 1 cup of white wine
- 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 3 sprigs of parsley
- Olive oil
- Ground black pepper
- Salt
Preparing the stuffed turkey with ground beef
- Make light cuts in the surface of the turkey breast to create a kind of trellis. Then, cut the breast in half with a cut lengthwise, but without reaching the bottom, so as not to divide it in two. Open it like a book.
- Transfer the breast to a platter, squeeze the juice and pour the meat with it and the white wine. Also add a little salt, ground black pepper and thyme.
- In a deep bowl, make a mash with a branch of parsley, a clove of garlic and a pinch of salt. Spread it over the breast, cover the pan with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for at least four hours. When half the time has passed, turn the turkey so that it is well impregnated on both sides.
- After that time, take the dish out of the fridge so that the breast is warmed up while you prepare the ground beef filling.
- Peel and julienne the onion, laminate the two remaining garlic cloves and wash and chop the parsley. The bacon you have to cut into cubes and the mushrooms you also have to wash and cut them. Then reserve only this last ingredient.
- Now pour a little olive oil into a frying pan and sauté the onion over medium heat along with the two garlic cloves. Add a pinch of salt and, when the onion begins to be transparent, add the ground beef, the parsley and the bacon. Also add a little salt and ground black pepper. Stir from time to time by crushing with the spoon so that all the ingredients are crushed and their flavor mixes better.
- Once the meat begins to change color, add the mushrooms and cook all the ingredients together for five minutes. Then turn off the heat and transfer the contents of the pan to a bowl.
- Put the oven to preheat to 200ºC. Place a layer of aluminum foil on a cookie sheet and top with the turkey breast. Reserve the liquid in which it has macerated. Pour the sauce into the meat.
- Now paint the outside of the breast with olive oil and water it with the juice in which it has macerated.
- Transfer the tray to the oven and wait fifteen minutes. After this time, open the oven, water the breast with the excess liquid and lower the temperature to 175ºC. Put the tray back in the oven and wait another twenty minutes. Your turkey stuffed with ground beef is ready! Enjoy your meal!
