For the cake:

  • 200 gr. of sugar
  • 160 gr. of butter
  • 7 eggs
  • 50 gr. ground almonds

Sacher cake preparation

  1. Start by beating the butter together with the sugar until it forms a kind of very smooth cream. Next, you are going to add only the yolks of the eggs, without the whites, and do not stop beating at any time.
  2. Put the chocolate in a microwaveable bowl and place it inside to melt, or make it in a saucepan. Once melted, you add it to the mixture and beat again to mix more.
  3. Crush the almonds and incorporate them, stir a little. Then go incorporating the flour without stopping beating, until it gets a little more consistency.

  5. Pour this mixture into a removable mold, which is better spread a little butter. Put in the oven at 180º C for 10 minutes.
  6. After that time, lower it to 160º C and let it bake for another 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool before removing the mold.
  7. Now cut the cake in two halves, to fill it with the apricot jam to your liking. Rejoin the two layers.
  8. We continue with the coating. Melt the chocolate with the cream and butter in a saucepan. Stir well until it is completely liquid. Pour this preparation over the cake.
