  • 1 1/4 cup rice
  • 500 gr. hake or sea bass fillets
  • 4 teeth of Garlic
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • one onion
  • 1 cup of green peas
  • 600 ml. fish broth
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 small bunch of parsley
  • Salt to taste

Preparation of white rice with fish

  1. In case the fish fillets are not clean, you will have to remove the skin. If you’re using frozen steaks, thaw them ahead of time to release all of the water.
  2. To prepare the rice dressing, peel the onion and dice it. Then peel the garlic, crush them and reserve.
  3. Now wash the pepper, extract the seeds and cut into squares. Also wash the parsley, remove the stems and chop it finely.
  4. Place the fish broth in a pot and bring it to the fire to heat while you begin to prepare the sauce.
  5. Pour the olive oil into a saucepan and when it warms up a bit, add the onion with a pinch of salt to poach it.
  6. Once it is transparent, add the garlic along with the pepper, sauté for a couple of minutes and add the fish fillets.
  7. Then brown them and then add the peas, half the parsley and add the rice.
  8. Sauté everything for five minutes and finally pour the broth slowly very carefully so as not to burn yourself because it jumps a little. Season, stir and cook covered for 20 minutes over low heat.
  9. After time, remove from the heat and let it rest for ten minutes. Serve your white rice with fish sprinkled with the reserved chopped parsley. Enjoy!
