  • 3 cups of liquid cream to mount
  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • ¼ cup of water
  • 1 sachet of unflavored gelatin
  • 1 pod of vanilla
  • Mint leaves (optional)

For the syrup:

  • 1 1/4 cup strawberries
  • ½ cup of sugar

Preparation of the vanilla panna cotta

  1. To start preparing this delicious panna cotta you must hydrate the gelatin, to do this, pour the water into a bowl, add the gelatin and mix. Let it rest for a few minutes.
  2. Then add the cream to a saucepan and mix it with the sugar. Put it on medium heat.
  3. Open the vanilla bean in half making a cut lengthwise with a knife and scrape it off. Incorporate the paste that you obtained together with the pod in the cream and stir so that it is integrated.
  4. Keep stirring the cream so it doesn’t stick and cook even for 5 minutes after it comes to a boil. Get away from the fire.
  5. Then add the hydrated gelatin and stir to integrate. You should take advantage of the fact that the mixture is still hot so that it dissolves.
  6. Then strain the mixture through a strainer and pour into individual molds or a large one, whichever is more practical. Let cool before putting it in the fridge.
  7. In the meantime, take the time to prepare the syrup; Place the sugar in a pot along with a cup of previously washed strawberries and three tablespoons of water. Stir and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes.
  8. After time, strain it to remove the seeds and let it cool.
  9. When your vanilla panna cotta is set and ready to serve, unmold and cover with a little of the syrup you prepared, a strawberry and a mint leaf. You can also substitute strawberries for the fruit of your choice. Take advantage!
