  • two lemons

  • 3 tablespoons brandy

  • ½ cup of water
  • 1 spoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of pepper

Baked turkey preparation without stuffing

  1. The first thing you should do to prepare this baked turkey without stuffing is to clean the bird well. Remove the entrails from the inside and wash the turkey with cold water, in case the bird comes with a head you will have to cut it, but if you like you can keep it to make a broth.
  2. Place the onion along with the vinegar and garlic cloves, which you should have peeled, in a food processor, chopper or blender. Grind them well until there is a homogeneous mixture of all the ingredients, which you must distribute on the tray that you are going to use to make the turkey.
  3. Cut the lemons into slices and spread them out on the tray. In a separate bowl, place the chives, garlic porridge, chopped bay leaves, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, thyme, sage, parsley, brandy, and wine. With the help of some rods, mix everything until a good marinade for the turkey is formed.
  4. Now, carefully and using a syringe, inject the previous mixture into different parts of the turkey so that it absorbs the flavor. Once you have used it all (if you want you can pour a part over the bowl where you have the turkey), cover the bird with plastic wrap and put in the fridge for about three hours to marinate well.
  5. When there is half an hour left to remove the turkey, put the oven on at 180º C so that it takes up temperature.
  6. Meanwhile, peel the apples, wash them well under running water and cut them into cubes that you must distribute on the turkey tray with the rest of the ingredients that are part of the garnish. If you want you can also add some potatoes.
  7. Take the turkey out of the fridge and place it on the tray, over the rest of the ingredients. Cover the entire turkey with aluminum foil to ensure better cooking.
  8. Cook for approximately 5 and a half hours, the average time for a 7-kilo bird. Every 30 minutes it is recommended to bathe the turkey with the liquid that is released, in this way it will be juicy and delicious.
  9. It is recommended that after an hour and a half of cooking you remove the vegetables, apple and potatoes from the tray, if you have added them. Reserve on a separate tray and return to the oven in the last 10 minutes of cooking to heat up.
