  • 1 kg of sweet pepper
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 10 teeth of Garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 small can of tomato bare
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation of the sweet chili sauce

  1. To make this sweet chili sauce, start by preparing the ingredients. Wash the chili peppers and cut them into thin strips, do not discard the seeds since all their taste is concentrated in them. Reservation.
  2. Then peel, wash and cut the onion into very small squares and do the same with the garlic cloves.
  3. In a frying pan, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and when it is hot add the onion and garlic. Sauté over medium heat until the onion is translucent and the garlic begins to smell.
  4. When the onion has cleared, add the rest of the oil, wait for it to heat up and add all the sweet pepper. Sauté over medium heat until you notice that the chili begins to wilt.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste and mix well with the other ingredients. Then add the peeled tomatoes and cook for 10 minutes over high heat.
  6. After this time add the sugar, mix and cook for 10 more minutes over low heat, until you notice that the oil separates from the sauce. After time, your sweet pepper sauce will be ready to enjoy.
