  • 400 gr. from spaghetti
  • 6 teeth of Garlic
  • Olive oil
  • 1 kg. from tomatoes mature
  • 1 branch of fresh basil
  • Black pepper
  • 5 gr. of butter
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 100 gr. grated cheese

Preparation of spaghetti with tomato and basil

  1. We started our recipe for spaghetti with tomato and basil by peeling and thinly slicing the garlic. Then we wash and grate the tomatoes until we have all the juice.
  2. Heat 7 tablespoons of oil in a pan and when it is hot, add the rolled garlic, and stir them while they cook over low heat.
  3. As soon as we see that the garlic takes on a golden hue, we will add the crushed tomato with a pinch of salt and a pinch of sugar to reduce the acidity.
  4. We cook the tomato sauce over low heat while stirring occasionally for about 20-30 minutes.
  5. Halfway through cooking the sauce, we are going to cut the basil very thinly and also incorporate it into the sauce. We stir so that everything is mixed very well.
  6. Now we will add the pinch of ground pepper and stir for 2 minutes. Once the cooking time has elapsed and the tomato is at its point, we turn off the heat. We booked.
