Ingredients:

For the meatballs:

  • 1/2 kg. from mince
  • 1 egg
  • 100 gr. of bread
  • 1 tooth of Garlic
  • 100 ml. milk
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Parsley

For the sauce:

  • two onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Oil
  • 1 glass of white wine
  • 1 carrot
  • 30 gr. pine nuts

Preparation of the meatballs in onion sauce

  1. To start preparing this dish, the first thing we have to do is the meatballs. To do this, put the bread crumbs in the milk and, once it is completely moistened, transfer it to a bowl.
  2. Take one of the two garlic cloves and chop it in a mortar. Do the same with the parsley. Add everything to the bowl with the bread crumbs and mix it up.
  3. Add the minced meat, the egg and a little salt and stir again. Help yourself with a fork to be able to mix everything well. As soon as it is done, fry the meatballs in a pan with a little oil. This will only take ten minutes, so when you’re done, save them. Then we will return to them, now we will go for the sauce.
  4. Peel the onion and chop it as small as you can. Do the same with the carrot and the other clove of garlic and fry them all in a pan with a little oil. Add the pine nuts and wait for everything to turn golden.
  5. As soon as the vegetables are poached, add a tablespoon of flour and mix everything with the help of a wooden spoon.
  6. Pour in the glass of white wine and turn the heat to high for five minutes to allow the alcohol to evaporate. Then put it back down and wait twenty minutes.
  7. As soon as this time has passed, put the meatballs in the pan where you have the sauce and mix everything. Wait five minutes for them to take all the flavor and turn off the heat. Your meatballs in onion sauce are ready! We hope you like them!
