The kebab with yogurt sauce It is a variant of this traditional recipe from Greece.


  • ½ kg. beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 yogurt natural
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon of parsley
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 kebab bread per person
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

Preparation of kebab with yogurt sauce

  1. Although in the recipe we recommend using kebab bread, which can be bought in any supermarket, they also serve corn pancakes. However, in the case of wanting to prepare it at home, you have the recipe above.
  2. The first thing to do is cut all the vegetables. To begin with, peel the onion and wash it under running water, so that your eyes do not cry so much. Cut them into slices or small pieces, as you prefer. Follow the process with the carrot and green pepper. If you want the chunks very small, then shred them in the shredder.
  3. Fry all the vegetables in a pan with a little oil, until they are completely golden. Make sure the onion is transparent.
  4. Add the meat and season it to taste, begin to stir everything and fry it for several minutes. The meat is fine if it is well browned, but it does not need to be burned either. Although everything will depend on the taste you have.
  5. Go preparing the yogurt sauce while the meat is being made. One way to make it is to mix a natural yogurt, or a Greek yogurt, with grated lemon peel, pepper to taste, olive oil, a little parsley and salt. Stir well and put it in the fridge to cool the mixture.
  6. Fill the kebab bread with the mixture of meat and vegetables and finally cover with the yogurt sauce, to have the dish ready.
