  • 500 gr. loin of tuna
  • two avocados small ones or a big one
  • 1 lemon
  • 45 ml. from soy sauce
  • 8 ml. sesame oil
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Japanese mustard (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped chives
  • Black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Preparation of Japanese tuna tartare

  1. To prepare this delicious tuna tartare, the first thing to do is cut your fish into cubes of approximately one centimeter and place them in a bowl.
  2. To make the vinaigrette, mix in a bowl the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, Japanese mustard, a little pepper, salt to taste (little) and reserve.
  3. Next, cut the onion into very small cubes and add it to the tuna along with the vinaigrette. Let it marinate for about 5 minutes in the refrigerator. Wash the chives, cut finely and reserve to decorate.
  4. Peel the avocado and cut it into cubes also the same size as the tuna. Drizzle with the lemon juice, a little salt, the olive oil and mix.
  5. To serve your Japanese tuna tartare, you will need a plating ring. Place the tuna first, then a little avocado and add another layer of tuna again. Garnish with chopped chives and you’re ready to try it. Enjoy it!
