Ingredients

  • 1 kg. from spinach
  • 600 ml. milk
  • 100 gr. grated cheese
  • 50 gr. wheat flour
  • Nutmeg
  • Olive oil
  • Ground black pepper
  • Salt

Preparation of the spinach in the baked cream

  1. The first thing you have to do is put the oven to preheat to 180ºC and, while it reaches the desired temperature, we are going to prepare the spinach.
  2. Wash and drain the spinach, then put them in a frying pan with a little oil over medium heat. Stir.
  3. As soon as you see that they have decreased in volume, add the sifted flour to the spinach and stir for a couple more minutes. We don’t want lumps to form.
  4. Now add salt, ground black pepper and nutmeg and stir again. Also pour in the milk while stirring and, as soon as you see that it is thickening, turn off the heat.
  5. Transfer the mixture you just prepared to a clay pot, pour the grated cheese on top and put it in the oven. Let it gratin for about five minutes and, when the cheese begins to brown, remove your spinach in the cream from the oven. They are ready to serve! We hope you liked this recipe. To eat!
