  • 1 black sausage.
  • ¼ breast of chicken.
  • 1 potato.
  • ½ col.

For the ball.

  • 300 gr. from mince.
  • 1 egg.
  • 100 gr. of breadcrumbs.
  • 1 glass of milk
  • 4 – 5 slices of bread.

Nadal’s escudella recipe.

  1. To prepare the broth we have to fill a pot with cold water and bring it to a boil at medium power. When it starts to boil add the bones, the knuckle and the bacon. We leave for about half an hour and then we add the chickpeas. We reduce the heat to low power and let everything cook for a couple of hours.
  2. After that time we add the chicken and let it cook for another half hour.
  3. We peel the potato and wash it well to dice it, as well as chop the cabbage. Leave aside for when we are going to add it.

  5. Now we are going to prepare the ball: we beat the egg well in a bowl and in another we put the milk to soak the slices of bread.

  7. We put a frying pan on the fire, with enough oil, in which we will make the balls. We are taking pieces of the mixture and we will create balls with our hands, the size that we like the most. Then we batter them and pass them through the pan for about five minutes to brown.
  8. After the half hour has passed, we add the potato, the cabbage, the sausage and the balls, so that everything is cooked for about 20 minutes.
  9. We let it rest a little and it is ready to serve.
