  • 12 slices of pineapple natural
  • 1/2 liter of milk
  • 3 yolks egg
  • 1 sprig of vanilla
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 1 piece of skin lemon
  • 120 gr. of sugar
  • 60 gr. Of flour
  • 1 table of chocolate to melt

Preparation of Catalan cream with pineapple

  1. Ideally, prepare the Catalan cream the day before. To do this, heat half the milk, the cinnamon, the vanilla cut in half, the lemon peel and 50 gr in a saucepan. of sugar.
  2. Meanwhile, beat the egg yolks in a bowl together with another 50 gr. of sugar until white and you get a homogeneous mixture.
  3. When you notice that the milk is about to boil, pour it into the bowl along with the beaten egg yolks and add the flour as well. Stir well until all the ingredients are integrated.
  4. Pour the preparation back into the saucepan, remove the cinnamon, lemon peel and vanilla and simmer until the mixture thickens.
  5. When the preparation is thick and ready, pour into a bowl and let it rest, adding a layer of sugar and a few flakes of butter on top.
  6. When preparing the Catalan cream with pineapple, place two pineapple slices on each plate, one on top of the other. Melt the chocolate board in the rest of the milk by heating both ingredients in the microwave.
  7. Add two tablespoons of melted chocolate over the pineapple slices. Then add a generous portion of Catalan cream and sprinkle a tablespoon of sugar on top.
  8. Brown the sugar with a kitchen torch and serve your delicious Catalan cream with pineapple, enjoy!
