The rice pudding, like the Custard or the egg custard, is one of the most popular homemade desserts in both Spain and Latin America. On this occasion we are going to explain to you step by step how to prepare it in a simple way and with few ingredients, so that it is creamier and with an excellent flavor.

- 1 liter of whole milk
- 150 gr. white sugar
- 110 gr. from rice
- 1 branch of cinnamon
- 1 lemon
- Ground cinnamon
Preparation of creamy rice pudding
- To prepare this rich creamy rice pudding, the first thing we will do is remove the skin from the lemon. We only need the yellow part, because the white part can make the dessert bitter.
- Next we put the milk in a saucepan with the cinnamon stick and the lemon skin and we will heat it over medium heat.
- When the milk is hot, add the rice, stir well and cook over high heat until it starts to boil.
- Once it is boiling, we will lower the heat to a minimum and leave it for about 20 minutes while we stir from time to time.
- After 20 minutes, add the sugar and stir well again until it is integrated. We let it simmer for 20 more minutes.
- Now our rice should be tender and creamy, so we turn off the heat and serve it in individual containers.
- We let it cool and before eating we sprinkle the cinnamon powder. And now you can enjoy this rich and simple creamy rice pudding!
