  • 1 kg. from potatoes
  • 100 gr. of butter
  • 200 ml. whole milk
  • 200 ml. liquid cream
  • Ground black pepper
  • Salt

Preparation of creamy mashed potatoes

  1. First of all, we must recommend that you choose potatoes that are neither too old nor too new. Also, all the potatoes should be roughly the same size so that they can all be done at the same time.
  2. That said, to start making this creamy mashed potato, first wash the potatoes very well. To do this, rinse them under tap water as many times as necessary, until they are completely free of dirt.
  3. Once they are well cleaned, place the unpeeled potatoes in a pot and cover them with water. Add a little salt to them, and cook them for approximately 20 to 30 minutes. To check that they are done, you just have to prick them with a toothpick, a knife or a fork.
  4. Before they cool, peel the potatoes and mash them well, with a masher or, if you don’t have one, with a fork. Then heat the milk and cream in a small saucepan over low heat.
  5. Then also add the butter, cut into small pieces, and salt and ground black pepper to your liking. Finally add the mashed potatoes.
  6. Stir all the ingredients until you get a homogeneous puree. Continue stirring for another three minutes, so the potatoes absorb the milk and cream. If you want it to be even creamier, pass the ingredients through the electric mixer.
  7. Turn off the heat, and you can set aside and serve this delicious creamy mashed potatoes.
