Ingredients

  • 1 kg. from spinach
  • 1 tooth Garlic
  • 250 gr. cream
  • 2 tablespoons pine nuts
  • 50 gr. grated cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Salt

Preparation of creamy spinach with pine nuts

  1. First, prepare the spinach. To do this, all you have to do is wash them and let them drain in a colander until they lose all the water.
  2. While you wait for the spinach to drain, wash and cut the garlic as small as you can and, as soon as it is done, put it in a skillet over medium heat with a little oil.
  3. As soon as you see that the garlic is poached, add the spinach and lower the heat to a minimum. You will see how little by little they decrease in volume. They have to be on the fire for about ten minutes.
  4. Next, pour in the cream and cook it for about 10 minutes over low heat, stirring to reduce it while preventing it from settling to the bottom. Put to preheat the oven to 180ºC, with the heat only on top.
  5. While the cream is reducing, put the pine nuts in a small pan to brown. Stir them so they don’t burn and then toss them with the spinach.
  6. Stir well for a couple of minutes. Turn off the heat and put everything in an oven-safe clay pot. Add a little salt and sprinkle the grated cheese on top of the casserole. Gratin for about 10 minutes.
  7. As soon as you see that the cheese has already been gratinated, you can turn off the oven, remove the casserole and immediately serve these delicious creamy spinach with pine nuts. You will see how rich they have been! Take advantage!
