  • 800 gr. from carrot
  • 250 gr. from potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 100 gr. grated cheese
  • 100 ml. of liquid cream for cooking
  • Oregano
  • Ground black pepper
  • Salt

Preparation of the carrot and potato cream

  1. The first step to prepare this cream is to remove the skin from both the potatoes and the carrot. Then rinse everything well, drain and cut both vegetables into equal pieces. In this way they can be cooked at the same time without making some pieces before others.
  2. Transfer these vegetables to a pot and cover them with water. Bring them to a boil, and when the water reaches the right temperature, wait twenty minutes. However, before removing them, prick the vegetables with a fork to see if they are ready or not and, if they are not there yet, wait five more minutes.
  3. Then strain them and drain them well. Mash them until they are completely crushed with the help of a food processor or an electric mixer. You have to get a heavy cream.
  4. Now add the grated cheese to the puree and beat again until this ingredient is fully integrated. Transfer the puree back to the casserole without water and pour in the cream. Also add the oregano.
  5. Start cooking the ingredients over medium heat and when it starts to boil, wait five minutes. During this time you should stir from time to time. Afterwards, you can serve your carrot and potato cream very warm, enjoy it!
