Ingredients

  • one cauliflower
  • ½ lemon
  • 250 ml. milk
  • 100 grams Of flour
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 1 tablespoon of White wine
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • Salt to taste

Preparation of battered cauliflower without egg

  1. First of all, we are going to give the cauliflower a first wash. Put it under the tap and clean it as many times as necessary. Next, cut it into small trees and wash it again with water and the juice of half a lemon.
  2. Now in a pot we are going to put plenty of water and salt, leaving a hole above it so that it does not overflow later. Add the cauliflowers and boil them until they are tender, fifteen minutes will be enough. However, check from time to time how they are poking them with a fork.
  3. Put the 100 gr. of flour in a bowl and, in the middle, add the oil and white wine. Mix well and gently add the 250 ml. of milk, stirring until it has a paste texture. Let it sit for about 20 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, put olive oil in a pan to heat. Now, add the yeast to the pasta that we have prepared before and go passing the cauliflowers one by one. When the oil is hot, fry them lightly until golden brown. A couple of minutes or three will do.
  5. Go aside the cauliflowers to a deep plate with absorbent kitchen paper so that they are not too greasy. Put the oven to preheat to 180ºC.
  6. When the cauliflowers have lost all the oil, we transfer them to a baking dish. Put them in the oven and let them cook for about five minutes.
