  • 8 slices of sliced ​​bread, better if it is without crust
  • 8 slices of cooked ham
  • 8 slices of cheese
  • two eggs
  • 150 grs. breadcrumbs
  • Salt to taste

Preparation of the flamenquines in the oven

  1. We take a slice of sliced ​​bread, and if it is with a crust, we remove this first. Next we are going to try to stretch it as much as possible for which we will use a kitchen roller.
  2. The thinner the bread is the better, because later it will be easier to roll it with the cheese and the cooked ham, so it is advisable to take care in this step.
  3. The next thing we will do is place a slice of cooked ham and another of cheese on the slice of sliced ​​bread. We have to ensure that they are as close as possible to the bread, so we will press firmly with the palms of our hands.
  4. We can now shape the first flamenquin, for which we will carefully roll it up. Once we have prepared this first, we repeat the whole process to make eight flamenquines. We put the oven to preheat to 200 ºC.
  5. We beat the two eggs in a deep dish until the white is completely mixed with the yolk. We put the breadcrumbs in another plate and we pass the flamenquines one by one for both dishes, first for the egg and then for the bread. We are placing them in a suitable baking dish or on the oven tray.
  6. So that the flamenquines are very crispy and looking good, we are going to try to make them well impregnated with both the egg and the breadcrumbs. Otherwise the batter can be spoiled when grilled.
  7. We put the tray or the source in the oven and let it cook for approximately twenty minutes. The time is indicative, we basically have to check that the batter is already golden brown, without actually burning.
  8. We turn off the oven and remove the baked flamenquines. They are ready to eat! We recommend that you serve them very warm, which is how they are richer and crunchier. You are sure to love them! Enjoy your meal!
