The fideuá with prawns It is one of those dishes that delight lovers of the Mediterranean diet. Its preparation is very simple and you will only need a few ingredients to enjoy it whenever you want.

Like other dishes such as paella or Rice With Ribs, the fideuá with prawns is a most popular dish in Spanish cuisine that is usually served with a light starter such as a mango salmorejo or some grilled prawns with lemon.

  • 300 grams from noodles
  • 200 grs. from prawns
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 3 teeth of Garlic
  • 1 fish stock cube
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 1 liter and a quarter of water
  • Ground saffron
  • Olive oil
  • Salt

Preparation of the fideua with prawns

  1. In a large pot we heat a liter and a quarter of salted water. When the water is boiling, add the prawns and cook them until they start to float (about 3 or 4 minutes). At that moment, turn off the heat, strain the prawns, reserving the broth and reserve. (DO NOT throw away the water because you will use it later).
  2. We wash and cut the pepper into small cubes. We do the same with the onion and garlic. In a paella pan or large casserole we put a drizzle of olive oil and fry it all with a pinch of salt. We let it poach over medium heat for 5-10 minutes until they soften.
  3. When the vegetables begin to be done, we crumble the fish stock cube and add it to the pan along with the fried tomato and ground saffron.
  4. We stir all the sauce so that it mixes well, and let it cook for a couple of minutes. Next we add to the water of the prawns that we had reserved and stir well.
  5. When the water begins to boil, add the noodles, stir to distribute them throughout the pan and then place the prawns on top. We taste salt and rectify if necessary.
  6. We wait for the pasta to be made (between 5 and 10 minutes) and the water to evaporate. The cooking time should be the one indicated on the noodle container.
  7. And we are done! Once the pasta is done, let it rest for a couple of minutes and you can now taste this exquisite fideuá with prawns. We hope you liked this recipe.
