The escalivada with tuna is one of the most delicious variations of this traditional recipe from Catalonia. It is as simple as roasted vegetables with accessories but, even if it is a simple recipe, its flavor is unmistakable. It is very easy to do since much of the work is done by the oven. Don’t think twice and surprise your guests with this delicious Catalan dish.
Prepare your oven because we are going to start!
- two Red peppers
- two onions
- 1 eggplant aubergine
- 2 cans of tuna
- Balsamic oil (optional)
- Black olives (optional)
- Olive oil
Steak recipe with tuna
- Before getting the ingredients, preheat the oven to 200ºC.
- Now, take the vegetables, wash them well and place them on an oven-safe tray drizzled with a splash of oil.
- Put the tray in the oven for 20 minutes. Once that time has elapsed, turn the vegetables and leave them in the oven for 20 more minutes.
- When the vegetables are roasted, let them cool, peel them and remove the seeds. Then cut them into long strips.
- It’s time to think about the presentation, you can mix all the strips in a bowl, add the tuna, mix and serve. Or, if you want to do a little more, you can place the strips as you prefer and add the tuna on top. Clever! If you want, add a few slices of black olive or a drizzle of balsamic oil Decorate as you like and … let’s eat!
