- 1/2 kg. broccoli
- 2 teeth of Garlic
- 2/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 potato
- 1 egg
- 2 sprigs of parsley
- Bread crumbs
- 1/3 olive oil
- Black pepper
Broccoli burger preparation
- To start, separate the florets from the broccoli, place them in a colander and wash them well. Bring a pot of water and salt to the fire and when it comes to a boil, boil the broccoli for ten minutes.
- Over time, drain it, cut it into small pieces and mash them with a fork.
- While the broccoli is cooking, peel the potato, chop it and cook it in another pot with water and salt for fifteen minutes. When it becomes soft, drain it and mash it immediately until you get a puree.
- Peel the garlic, cut it as small as you can and then do the same with the parsley after washing it.
- Combine the mashed potato with the broccoli in a bowl, add the garlic, parsley, egg, a little salt, a pinch of black pepper and mix.
- Once everything is integrated, add the cheese and slowly add the breadcrumbs until you get a manageable dough that does not stick to your hands.
- So that the mixture compacts a little more, refrigerate it for a few hours, this way it will be much easier to make the hamburgers.
- After time, take the dough out of the refrigerator and make some medium-sized hamburgers, so you will avoid them breaking while you cook them.
- When you have them assembled, heat the olive oil in a pan and cook them over medium heat to avoid that they are not raw inside.
- Once they are browned on both sides, remove them to a plate and get ready to try your broccoli burger with bread or with a rich garnish, very good appetite!
