Ingredients

  • 12 corn tortillas
  • ½ kg. beef
  • 1 red onion
  • 1/2 Red pepper
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • one tomato
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • A teaspoon of oregano
  • A teaspoon of cumin
  • A teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt

For the pico de gallo sauce:

  • 1 red onion
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 bunch of coriander
  • 1 lemon
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • Salt

To accompany:

  • Guacamole
  • Chopped lettuce
  • Grated cheese
  • Cream

Preparation of beef tacos

  1. To start, cut the meat into thin strips, wash it with fresh water by putting it in a colander and drain it.
  2. Then place it in a container to dress it with Worcestershire sauce, salt, oregano, cumin, garlic powder, half a diced onion and a tablespoon of oil. Let it sit for two hours.
  3. While the meat is marinating, take the time to wash all the vegetables and cut them into very small pieces.
  4. After time, heat a pan and cook the meat with a tablespoon of olive oil. Besides, you are going to prepare the stew by sautéing the onion, peppers and tomato.
  5. Once the stir-fry is ready after at most fifteen minutes, add it to the meat and stir to integrate the flavors until all the liquid has been consumed. Rectify the salt before removing from the heat and reserve.
  6. To make the pico de gallo sauce, wash the vegetables and dice them. Then place them in a bowl and garnish with the lemon juice, oil and salt to taste.
  7. When you go to serve your beef tacos, heat the tortillas on a griddle and then cover them with a tablespoon of cream, a portion of meat, lettuce, pico de gallo sauce, guacamole and a little cheese at the end. Enjoy!
