The recipe for beef stew with potatoes is one of the most common recipes in all of European gastronomy.

Ingredients

800 gr. of beef.
3 potatoes.
2 carrots.
1 onion.
1 branch of celery.
1 can of tomato crushed.

We proceed to peel the onion, which we will wash so that the tear effect reduces its effects and we cut it into slices, which we will put in the shredder. It is not mandatory to do so, being able to buy both vegetables already chopped and frozen or cutting them yourself, but it will be done faster this way. We also chop the celery branch.
Now we will put everything on the fire so that it is poached for about 10 minutes more or less, not forgetting to stir every little time so that they do not stick and all the ingredients are well sautéed in the oil.
While the vegetables are being made, we will prepare the meat. For this we are going to cut it into small pieces, in this way it will be made better, and we season it to our personal taste. We can also add oregano if you want. With all the spices well distributed among all the pieces, the moment you see that the onion is transparent, add the meat.
We stir everything well so that the meat was well bathed in the oil and let it brown for a few minutes.
As soon as it has color, we add the crushed tomato, which can be bought or that we have prepared. We stir everything well and let the tomato consume a little. Then we add a little water, so that a broth is formed, cover the lid and let it cook at medium-low temperature for an hour and a half.
When there is more or less half an hour for them to be ready, peel and wash the potatoes well. Then we cut them into pieces that we will put in the broth, so that they are done.
