  • 1 kg. beef
  • two onions
  • 4 teeth of Garlic
  • two carrots
  • two tomatoes
  • 6 potatoes
  • 1 glass of Red wine
  • 1 pot of vegetable broth
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 sprig of thyme
  • 1 branch of rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper

Preparation of veal in sauce with potatoes

  1. Clean the meat to remove excess fat. Then, chop the veal into medium pieces and season.
  2. Add a little olive oil to a pot and when it is hot, seal the pieces of beef until they are golden brown on the outside and raw on the inside. Then remove from the pot and reserve.
  3. Cut the onions and garlic cloves into small squares. Next, peel the carrots and potatoes and then cut them into one-centimeter-thick slices. Wash the tomatoes and dice them.
  4. In the same pot where you sealed the veal, sauté the onion and garlic over medium heat until both ingredients are well poached and transparent. Then add the carrot and continue to fry for ten more minutes.
  5. Add the tomatoes to the pot and sauté for another ten minutes. Then add the red wine, aromatic herbs, veal, potatoes, and vegetable broth. Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat to medium-low heat and cover the pot.
  6. Let the preparation cook for two hours. After time you will have to rectify the cooking of the meat and the point of salt. Serve the veal in sauce with hot potatoes and enjoy. Take advantage!
