Ingredients
- 2 ripe plantains
- 2 butter spoons
- 4 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 2 branches of cinnamon
- 3 cloves
- 400 ml of water
Preparation of the banana in temptation
- Start by peeling the plantains, then cut each one into 4-5 pieces of a similar size.
- Place a large enough pot over medium low heat, when it is hot pour the two tablespoons of butter and, once melted, add the banana pieces.
- Let the bananas brown on both sides. While they cook, mix the water, brown sugar, cinnamon and cloves in a bowl.
- When the bananas are golden brown, add the water with the rest of the ingredients and cook over medium low heat. Stir from time to time gently and preferably using a wooden spoon so that they do not fall apart.
- Your banana in temptation will be ready when the liquid has thickened and caramelized, turning into an intense and flavorful syrup.
- Once you have it at this point, turn off the heat and serve this rich rogue banana either as a side or as a dessert on its own, with a dollop of ice cream or with a bit of cream cheese. Enjoy your meal!
