For this recipe of apple pie and jelly, You will have to prepare a normal cake, with the top layer a little toasted, in this way when we add the gelatin, we will not ruin the cake.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry.
  • 25 gr. of sugar.
  • 4 apples.
  • 1 lemon
  • Pastry cream of the flavor that you like the most.
  • Jelly of the desired flavor.

Recipe for apple pie and jelly.

  1. We peel the apples and wash them well. The type can be the ones you like the most, it doesn’t matter if they are red or green. Once peeled, we cut them into slices of equal size. We reserve for later in a bowl, in which you will squeeze the lemon juice. This way they won’t spoil while we make the rest of the recipe.
  2. We put the puff pastry sheet on a flat surface, with a little flour, and proceed to knead it, until it has the shape of the mold that we are going to use. Once ready, we place it in the mold, well attached and put in the oven at 220º C for about 10 – 15 minutes, until it takes color.
  3. Once the mold is ready, we fill it with the pastry cream of the flavor that we like the most. It can be bought or made by us at home. Then we distribute the apples on the surface, making sure that they are well distributed.
  4. If you have syrup at home, you can paint the apple pieces. But for this recipe it is not something that is very necessary.
  5. As the oven is ready to have toasted the dough, we put the cake back inside and leave a quarter of an hour. After that time we take out and sprinkle the sugar on top. And back in the oven for another 20 minutes. Keep in mind that the time will depend on the type of oven, so keep an eye on your cake.
  6. Once ready, we put it in the fridge and let it cool until it is time to eat.
  7. Before eating, pour over the gelatin that you like the most, and in the desired amount to enjoy this cake to the fullest.
