You can combine the flavors of an apple sponge cake with one of yogurt and get a unique combination. Of course, you will have to decide if you want the apple pieces on top or inside the cake.
- 3 eggs
- 1 yoghurt of lemon
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of olive oil
- 3 tablespoons grated lemon peel
- 1.5 cups of flour
- 1 sachet of yeast
- two apples
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 1/2 tablespoon of salt
Preparation of apple and yogurt cake
- First of all, start the oven at 180º C so that it picks up the temperature when you need it.
- In a deep bowl, sift the flour and make a hole in the center, where you pour the yeast and a little salt. With the help of a tablespoon mix well.
- On the other hand, beat the eggs together with the sugar and the three tablespoons of butter until obtaining a creamy mixture of a very white color.
- Pour in the lemon yogurt and begin to beat without stopping until it is well integrated.
- Peel the apples, wash them well under running water and start cutting them. If you want there to be an apple on the cake, cut one of the hands into julienne slices and the other crush the pieces. If not, grind everything together.
- Pour the amount of apple that you are going to use in the mixture and stir. Finally, go pouring the flour mixture with the rest of the ingredients and do not stop beating at any time, until you make a dough.
- Said mass pour it into a removable mold, smearing with butter. If you have saved apple chunks, put them on top of the dough.
- And in the oven, lowering the temperature to 160º C for about 20 – 30 until you prick it and see that the knife comes out very clean.
- If you want it to be even richer, paint the surface with jam.
