  • 250 gr. wheat flour
  • 250 gr. from almonds
  • 6 gr. sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch of ground cloves
  • 100 gr. of honey
  • 100 gr. of sugar
  • 200 gr. icing sugar

For the syrup:

  • 50 gr. of sugar
  • 100 ml of water

Preparation of almond alfajores

  1. To prepare these delicious almond alfajores, the first thing we must do is preheat the oven to 180 ° and pulverize 250 gr. of almonds in a blender until obtaining a fine flour. Reservation.
  2. In a pot, pour the honey and heat until it boils. Then, gradually add the previously sifted flour, the sugar, the cinnamon, the ground almonds, the cloves, the sesame seeds, the cocoa and stir until you get a sticky paste.
  3. Remove from heat and reserve. In another pot, pour the water and sugar from the syrup and heat until the mixture boils and forms a caramel. This will only take you about ten minutes. Then reserve.
  4. Flour a baking sheet. Then, knead the almond paste with your hands and taking small portions, forming cylinders until all the dough is finished.
  5. Place the cylinders on the tray and bake for fifteen minutes. To know if the alfajores are ready, make sure that the base of them is slightly golden. Then remove from the oven and let it warm.
  6. Finally, coat the cylinders with the syrup and icing sugar. Your almond alfajores are ready to taste! If you wish, you can make balls instead of cylinders to vary the presentation of this dessert.
